Global Village Ripley’s Believe It Or Not

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not at the Global Village is an American franchise. Robert Ripley, the founder, explored over 200 countries and curated bizarre and odd things from all over the world. Believe it or not, this franchise is now available in Dubai’s Global Village to amaze you with all the eccentric stuff. It houses 250 interactions with 40 new additions.

The entry fee for Ripley is 75 AED. Absolutely a great deal for the number of attractions you get to explore here. It has two parts, a mirror maze and a museum. It is suggested that you spend at least 1 hour here to discover as many interactive displays as possible. Since the artifacts are unusual, you must read the description to better understand them.

In the following section, we have listed a few exhibitions that you can enjoy with your friends and family:

A Sneak Peek Into Global Village Ripley's Happenings

Here are some of the amazing events, happenings, and shows lined up at Ripley’s: Visit Global Village Dubai and unlock all the fun.

Mirror Maze

Global Village Ripley's

The very first section of Ripley is a mirror maze. More than a thousand neon LED lights are used to illuminate it. This mirror maze is built with more than 100 mirror panels.

You have to use your senses to find your way out, as you will most likely reach a dead end. Each corner has a different theme and special effects that create dynamic visuals on the mirrors. The cost for a mirror maze ticket is 25 AED per person.

Shadow Art

It is an interesting piece of art that is made from cutlery. When you hit the light button, a shadow of a boy appears who is watering her garden with a dog. When you view it from angles, you can see various other shadows images as well. A factory billowing smoke next to a heavy machinery is one of them.

Japanese Samurai

If you’re someone who gets fascinated by samurai and enjoys samurai history, there is something for you as well. Here you get to see an original Japanese Samurai Armour which is delivered by Riley’s team for you to enjoy.

Shrunken Heads

This is the most quirky display in the museum. The Shuar Tribe practiced shrunken head ritual to scare the enemies.

Believe it or not, these are real human heads that you can observe closely in the museum. Moreover, if you want to know how your head would look as a shrunken head, you can do that with the interactive screen.

Gallery of Odd People

There is also a gallery of people where you can learn about people with unique physical features. Among the few we can share with you is the largest hand in the world which can hold a dozen eggs.

The next is the largest man in the world. You can also measure yourself with a wooden scale next to the tallest man.

London Bridge

A London Bridge structure is something you must not miss. You must be thinking, what is so special about that? Well, this is not an ordinary structure. It is recycled and made from 3246 scrap metals that the makers picked up.

Arab Meets America

The east meets west section of the museum where you can find some interesting exhibitions. It houses creative art pieces that are an amalgamation of west and east.

Spiderman

A very peculiar Spiderman painting is hung on the wall of this museum. The artist used a spider web as a canvas to paint a Spiderman on it. It’s fascinating for the visitors.

Old Money

In Ripley, you can also discover the world’s oldest currency. You will get to see the historical currency in the form of coins. You can also learn about the history of these currencies and the economics of those times.

Woolly Tooth Mammoth

At The Ripley’s, the centuries-old tooth that belongs to a wooly mammoth is leaving all the visitors in awe and surprise. It was a prehistoric relative of an elephant that wandered around in America and Russia 20,000 years ago. Despite being a humongous creature, it only had four teeth. Another trivia is that it was purely vegetarian.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus rex skull casting is also present in Ripley, which is one of the most famous dinosaurs among children. It is the most gigantic dinosaur of its time and could grow 40 feet tall and weigh over 15,000 pounds.

Giant Pin Art

Besides exhibitions, there are some exciting activities in Ripley as well. Giant Pin Art is a fun and tactile activity. When you press your body or a body part into a pin wall, it creates a 3D impression of it on the opposite side.
